Tea or coffee?
Tea not to strong with sugar, Green tea with sugar, coffee white with sugar.
What’s the first thing you do when you get in the office?
I’m usually the first person in the office, so I turn off the alarm, turn the lights on (like Beyonce), put the radio on, turn the kettle on.
What’s your timekeeping/workload management secret? Do you use apps/online tools/leather-bound diary?
All has to be in a database (it’s the nature of my job) so online apps definitely help with time management.
Do you have a way to ‘come at’ the day?
Check server conditions/load first for any alerts and notifications. Next step would be emailing replies and quoting.
What do you love most about your day?
Being part of a great team. We all are passionate about what we do and deliver innovative projects. I also like developing my skills and learning something new every day.
What’s your least favourite part of the day?
Empty cup which screams for a teaaaaaaaaaa.
Top stress-busting tip?
Sing a song: “Don’t worry, be happy” (Bob Marley) or “Happy” (Pharrell Williams).
What’s on your desk right now?
MacBook Pro, two additional screens, phone, keys, papers and what I like the most: food, fruits and biscuits.. and my smart watch.
Do you listen to music/the radio/podcasts etc during the day?
The radio, it will be most likely be BBC Radio 6 Music, but this time of the year Dawn would switch it to Absolute Christmas.
What are you listening to right now?
The radio and myself.
When do you take your first break? And what do you tend to do?
When I find time.
What do you do when you have a creative block?
It depend if it’s creative from software development or a hardware upgrade point of view or maybe not, either way I jump up and down because it’s fun time.
What do you take into meetings?
My multicolor pen (It’s mine, mine and only mine, some people were trying to steal it, so I watch them now), laptop, notepad and a lot of enthusiasm.
What’s for lunch?
Most likely sandwiches but I’m switching to home made lunch, well I’m trying to switch, not succeeding too much yet.
How you decide to call it a day?
When I leave in a good mood and everyone is happy.
What’s your end-of-day ritual?
Tidy up my desk, wash my dishes, and say “goodbye” or “see you later alligator”.
