Sabrina tackles each day head-on, just as long as she’s got a hot drink in hand!
Name
Sabrina Strong
Position?
Head of Client Relationships
Tea or Coffee?
I will drink anything as long as it has milk in it.
What’s the first thing you do when you get in the office?
Turn computer on, check for any urgent emails and then have my first coffee fix.
What’s your timekeeping/workload management secret?
It’s all about my lists and a giant desk notepad for me to jot notes left, right and centre!
Do you have a way to ‘come at’ the day?
My approach to most things in life is very much – just do it! I tend to have a list of outstanding tasks which I try to tackle before moving onto new requests… if possible.
What do you love most about your day?
Working with a wide range of clients whom all present different challenges and seeing their projects come to fruition is a definite plus to my role.
What’s your least favourite part of the day?
Knowing that I have an 8 hour day ahead of me if I’ve been up all night with one of my young boys! But nothing a few coffees and chocolate doesn’t fix.
Top stress-busting tip?
Fresh air! Being sat at a desk for 8 hours isn’t healthy so I try where I can to eat lunch outside if the weather permits.
What’s on your desk right now?
Mac, notepads, lots of stationery, water, empty cup, some uneaten fruit and a recently finished lollypop (oops).
Do you listen to music/the radio/podcasts etc during the day?
We share the listening experience so generally have someone’s spotify playlist on when in the office. We are a radio 1 fan in the car / at home.
What are you listening to right now?
Never be like you – Flume.
When do you take your first break? And what do you tend to do?
I don’t have set breaks, generally stop when I fancy a drink or take the dog for a quick walk on a Friday.
What do you do when you have a creative block?
Speak to the wider team to see what ideas they have and if that fails turn to the power of Google.
What do you take into meetings?
Drink and my Mac and generally a whole list of questions / answers (if client meeting).
What’s for lunch?
It’s Foodie Friday so whatever Dawn has cooked!
How do you decide to call it a day?
When it’s time to pick up my boys from nursery and start the slow decline into madness before the bedroom routine starts.
