Giant Peach Earns Planet Mark Certification 2021

At Giant Peach we are thrilled to announce we have once again been awarded the prestigious Planet Mark certification. In order to retain the Planet Mark, certification holders must reduce their carbon footprint year-on-year by a minimum of 2.5%, through savings in energy, waste, water, travel, and procurement. 

Since the beginning Giant Peach has been conscious about the impact we have on the planet, we want to ensure a positive future for our children and grandchildren. To do this we committed to being eco conscious through limiting our carbon emissions where possible. Together each employee has committed to reducing our carbon footprint, through reduction of car travel where possible, use of public transport, in 2020 along with many others we switched to remote first ways of working and ensured we use renewable energy sources both in the office and in our homes. 

In 2016 we gained our very first Planet Mark certification followed closely by winning a Planet Mark award for our efforts in carbon reduction in 2018 and now again in 2021 signifying our commitment to the future of our planet. 

Planet Mark is a certification we are proud to hold as with every new business certification, the Planet Mark protects an acre of rainforest through Cool Earth, the award-winning charity that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction.

As we continue our own journey towards sustainability, we will not only reduce our carbon emissions but we will offset any emissions we do create by investing in environmental projects in areas throughout the world most in need.
