It's Rob! He's not a hot drinks man, but he sure does love a tricky website functionality issue. Who doesn't, right?

Name

Rob

Position?

Junior Developer

Tea or coffee?

I don't tend to drink hot drinks, but if it had to be one it would be a black tea with 1 sugar please.

What’s the first thing you do when you get in the office?

Say good morning. Lunch in the fridge. Check emails!

What’s your timekeeping/workload management secret? Do you use apps/online tools/leather-bound diary?

A couple of our web apps have workload management already which really helps. I also use GQueues for other little bits to make sure I don't miss anything.

Do you have a way to ‘come at’ the day?

I like to tackle any smaller tasks first so I can get them out of the way and fully focus on the larger project related tasks.

Rob

What do you love most about your day?

The satisfaction when getting some particularly tricky website functionality working!

What’s your least favourite part of the day?

The commute isn't great, but at least it's nice and scenic!

Top stress-busting tip?

"If you can do something about it, then do it. If you can't, then why are you stressing about it?" (I can't take credit for that)

What’s on your desk right now?

A Can of Coke Zero, my phone, an empty carton of Soup and my headphones.

Do you listen to music/the radio/podcasts etc during the day?

Mainly it's BBC 6 Music, but if I need to focus it's headphones in and head down!

What are you listening to right now?

Lee Mack as a guest on BBC 6 Music.

Rob

When do you take your first break? And what do you tend to do?

It's usually about 11 with a game of Pool.

What do you do when you have a creative block?

Headphones in and get in 'the zone'.

What do you take into meetings?

An iPad or a normal pad and a pen.

What’s for lunch?

Nothing exciting, Tesco Finest Moroccan Soup.

How you decide to call it a day?

I always have to finish what I am doing. I can't just get up and leave, so usually it's when I reach a suitable point to stop.

What’s your end-of-day ritual?

Tidy my space then shut everything down and leave.
